3 years ago I had the best day of my life, and until today the Super Show 5 Brazil still looks like a dream.
Every fan wishes to go to his/her idol’s concert right? To K-pop fans, this might be a very difficult dream to achieve, because we know how expensive a k-pop show can be, and even the place to hold the show can be a problema.
Being a k-popper since 2009, and having Super Junior as the first K-pop group I’ve ever heard, I waited 4 years to finally see them. Only on April 21 of 2013 I could see and hear the dances and music that made me fall in love with Korean culture.
It was so surreal to actually see them so close to me. I wasn’t at the crowd [close to the stage], I was at the bleachers [maybe 30 meters away], and I have absolutely no regrets at all. I could see everything, all of them and I enjoyed every second of the show without getting hurt or with someone else in front of me.
10 of them came to SS5: Donghae, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Kyuhyun, Sungmin, Shindong, Kangin, Ryeowook, Zhoumi and Henry. Unfortunately Yesung was about to enlist to the army, and Leeteuk and Heechul were still on their duty time.
I’ll never forget all of the anxiousness I felt that day, and I really couldn’t believe what was happening until the show began. And for me, the most beautiful moment was when Zhoumi and Henry were about to introduce themselves and we screamed so loud that they got scared <3
They said goodbye twice, and I Always remember Hyuk saying: “I really didn’t want to say goodbye to you”.
None of us wanted to.
I don’t even know how I managed to calm down and make a video of them saying goodbye. I always cry whenever I watch it <//3 [but it’s only translated in Portuguese, I’m sorry]
I will never forget how much Super Junior means to me. It was my first contact with K-pop, and because of them I get to know a lot of other groups. And I also made a lot of good friends <3
I know I’ll have other chances to see Super Junior all together. Until then: “It’s not an ‘end’, but an ‘and’”.
See you next time!
